Theatre Arts M.A. Candidates Produce Adaptation of Antigone

The second-year Theatre arts M.A. candidates successfully completed their thesis production. Amy Murray and Ashley Gwillim produced and fulfilled several artistic roles in this production, including playing Antigone (Murray) and Directing (Gwillim). The creative team chose Seamus Heaney's Burial at Thebes, an adaptation of the Greek Classic filled with Irish resonance. The M.A. students creatively repurposed the MainStage space in Rodeheaver auditorium, with audience, actors, set, action, and spectacle all gathering behind the curtain directly on the stage. First year M.A. students, Ben Hamann and Nathan Pittack also assisted with acting, light and set design, and marketing.
